Even though it says it is a romance novel (which it is), I think it is much more. I mean the whole idea of time travelling has a lot to do with quantum physic and mechanics and all that. In the book it suggests that there was a parallel universe, and travelling through these different parallel dimensions allowed someone to time travel.
The book was really confusing at first because I really didn't understand how Henry was time travelling. Which is the "real Henry"? The one that lived in the "real" world. I didn't get how he time travelled and he was at different ages. I also didn't get how sometimes he would meet himself, and himself would not remember or even know that he time travelled. Of course this all became clear later on in the book, but it really gave me a good mystery.
The romantic side of this book is truly something that is unbelievable. Clare has known Henry since she was a little girl, and yet the Henry in the "real" world did not know her. It is a romance that truly crossed all time and space. I found it really interesting that Clare should fall in love with Henry when she was only so young, and every since she knew that she had to be with Henry and only Henry.
I have yet to finish the book, so I am sure I will have much more to talk about when I do really finish it!
