Ever since I got back to school, everyone has been talking about the Pre-IB applications. The 500 word biography, and the due date. The application is due at 4:00 today, which has already passed. I hope that everyone who wanted to apply got their's handed in on time. I handed mine in yesterday--Wednesday. So basically on Saturday and Sunday, I wrote my biography. I literally wrote around 5 different versions. 500 is really not a lot considering all the stuff you have to put in, and I really don't know what to write sometimes because I just feel like that I am not doing enough. I mean I think being in China for 2 years has kinda put a dent in my community service department. It's not like helping teachers, and cleaning classrooms in China count. Some people have really impressive biographies, and once you read them, you kind of feel that you may never be able to write something as good as that. But I try. Writing is something I enjoy doing, and honestly I don't mind. But sometimes when you are writing about yourself, you don't know where to start. People are such complicated beings, and we have so many sides and angles. I think I did a great job on my biograph though, the finally copy is awesome. I guess my hours of hard work paid off. And believe it or not, I think that writing that Pre-IB application actually increased my writing skills on some levels.
Oh, and I was going to hand it in on Monday. My mom photo copied all the documents and I even got a picture taken. But I had to find Ms.Salter because of the stupid mistake on my report card... That is another story I think I will save for tomorrow.
