Sorry, I just thought that my paragraph is too long, so I decided to post it in 2 days.
Back to my trip to Singapore:
On the night of the second day we took a ferry to Indonesia. I think it was a little Island on the coast which was really close to Singapore, so many people went to Singapore first and then take the ferry there like we did. The island was like a tropical paradise. I had the most fun walking along the sandy beach, picking up sea shells, and building sand castles. I have to admit I have never build a proper sand castle until that day in Indonesia on the beach. It was a sensation.
We stayed there for 2 nights, during which we also visited the mangrove forest, and I had my first durian. I think that is what you call it... Even though it smells kind of strange but it tastes very rich. It isn't my favourite fruit but it was nice to try different stuff.
On the fourth day we were in Singapore and we went to ride the Singapore Flyer. It was like a really big Ferris Wheel, and it was really tall and big. In one of the compartments I saw dining tables and sofas. They say people can actually eat there.I think it would be really cool to eat dinner on top of Singapore^^. After that we went on a duck boat. The duck boat is such a cool little invention, it is a car and a boat in one. It is like a really tall boat with wheels on the end. We saw the famous Singapore Merlion, and a lot of other famous buildings of Singapore's on the duck boat. That night we went to the Night Safari. It was a zoo at night. I couldn't see a lot of animals but it was really interesting. Usually people go to the zoo in the morning, they see all these animals that come out in the day. But some animals only start the day when the sun goes down, and in a normal zoo we would never get to see them.
Finally the last day of my exiting adventure, we went to the Singapore Botanical garden. I took so many pictures that my hands were sore. Of course I have been taking pictures for the whole trip, but I almost took a picture of every single plant in the Singapore National Orchid Garden. Why would I do that? Because my grandmother in China loves flowers and plants, she also loves photography. Even though she could not come with us to Singapore, I could at least take a picture of every exotic flowers there is for her to see.
Our plane was in the afternoon that day, so we decided to go and eat Singapore's famous Yakun Toasted Bread (I think that is how you say it). It was totally delicious.
When we got home that night, I was relieved yet sad at the same time. It was a long trip and lots of things happened. Even when we were in the airport something exciting managed to happen. I lost my new necklace that I just got from Universal Studios. I think it wasn't fastened around my neck properly, and so when I moved too much it just fell off... I was sad, but oh well. My mom said that it was okay, it meant that I am meant to go back to Singapore one day because I left my souvenir there this time.
I really enjoy travelling, just thinking about the world, so big, so vast, so very beautiful. There are so many places I have not seen yet, or heard of. But, I don't want to travel the world, all I wish is to be with my family and those who I love. It doesn't really matter where I am, as long as they are with me.
