Yard Sale
Today my friend had a yard sale!!!
Me and my cousin's friend and her friend put their stuff on mats on the grass, they put out clothes, jewellery, bags, books, and even some scarves.
It was such a good day today. It was really sunny and hot in the morning, the sky was blue and birds where chirping. My friend had put out signs on the streets and on the light posts. At first there wasn't a lot of people, but after a while a bunch of people came, and they bought lots of the necklaces and clothe. But then it happened.
My friend got stunned by a bee.
She said the bee was just on her finger, but because there was people who was buying stuff in front of her, she didn't want to look at it and shake it off. So the bee stung her, and she came running into our house and we rinsed the wound under cold water. My cousin checked on the Internet and it said to put ice on it, so we gave her a pack of ice. And our neighbour heard and gave my friend some kind of white medicine to apply to the wound. She felt much better after that, she said that the bee sting hurt and was a little itchy. It was really intense, I mean her finger started swelling after like 5 minutes, but I think it didn't swell too much afterwards because we put ice on it.
Everything was normal for another couple of hours, not much people came to our yard sale. I thought it was probably because the signs weren't big enough or something like that. And my friend, who seems like the unluckiest person in the world today, got crow poop on her head. I mean she said she was telling this crow to stop talking ( I wasn't there), and it just pooped on her head. It got onto her pony tail, so my cousin used water and wet towels to get it all off. Is she the unluckiest person today or what???
But good news is that she made $45 off of her yard sale. It was totally worth it, and she donated the rest of the stuff to charity. Well, she just donated it, which means she putted it in the donation bin near our house.
It was such a long day, and I look forward to having my own yard sale one day. I would have taken some of my stuff out today, but I just couldn't do it. No matter how useless some stuff I have is, I just can't get myself to actually sell them. They take up space in my room and make it kinda messy, but I like it that way. It remind me of who I am and it makes my room feel more like home.
Maybe it is because of growing up, time passes so fast when you are having fun. I just don't feel like letting go of my childhood yet (even though I am technically still a child), I feel like I have grown so much throughout the passed few years. Sometimes I wish I wouldn't grow up, everything would be perfect if I just stayed this way and never changed. But time still flies right by. At least when every year passes I still have those stuff, the junk and the useless stuff that holds all my memories, to remind me of who I was five years ago, one years ago, a month ago. Sometimes even a day. I start to notice stuff in life. The first time I took a cab by myself, or maybe the first time I was on a plane by myself, the first time I cooked dinner for my whole family. Small things in life start to jump out of nowhere and remind you that you are growing up every single day.
Now I am going to go to bed, but one day when I grow up and can finally let go of my childhood. I will have my own yard sale. When that time comes, at least I can still read this blog, and think back to this very day.
Happy Yard Sale!!!
