I wonder if you get the story... There might be some grammar mistakes or something.
This is the original file I wrote, I think I was 10 or 11 when I wrote this...
On the first day of springtime, a lonely lady bug was flying by. The ladybug was tired and landed on a crocus, when suddenly a grasshopper jumped on too. The nice grasshopper said, “Hello! My name is Glen. Isn’t spring lovely?”
The ladybug answered arrogantly, “Spring is lovely, but you are not. Look at those ugly clothe you are wearing!”
“How rude of you, my mother said that my coat is quite nice, the amber green matches my skin perfectly. Now if you are willing to say sorry, I will forgive you. Maybe we can be friends.” The grasshopper answered.
“Say sorry? No thanks. Anyways, you’re not good enough to be my friend. Bye-bye.” The ladybug said coldly. So with that, the ladybug took flight, and flew away.
Soon it began to rain, and the lady bug used a fallen leaf as her umbrella. That is when she heard someone shouting, “Stop! Don’t go! Wait!”
When the ladybug turned around, she saw a soaking wet monarch waving her hands at her. So she stopped, and let the monarch catch up with her.
After the monarch catched up, she said, “Thank you so much for waiting for me. Do you mind if you share your umbrella with me? I can’t fly in rain.”
“What? But look at you? You are wet, and if I let you share my umbrella you might ruin my dress! And this leaf is fairly small, if we share, I might get wet from the rain! So no, of course you can’t share an umbrella with me.” The ladybug answered.
“But I can’t fly in the rain! And it looks like it isn’t going to stop. My mom would worry for me if I don’t get back home soon. So please let me share the umbrella with you.” The monarch pleaded.
“NO! This is my umbrella, and I don’t care if your mom worries for you. This is none of my business. Solve your own problems, I must be going now. Good-bye.” The ladybug said. So the ladybug continued to fly forward.
After the rain stopped, the ladybug sat on a meadow, and watched flowers bloom. Just when the lovely ladybug was falling asleep, a small voice said, “Hello!”
This startled the sleepy ladybug and she said, “Who is there?” She did not see the pale green caterpillar lying on the leaves of a dandelion.
“Hello! I’m here! Nice to meet you, I just wanted to complement you on how beautiful your dress is!”
So the little caterpillar shushed and didn’t say another word.
The next day was sunny and bright. But not for long, that afternoon there was a terrible thunderstorm. At first the sky went black, and you could hear the sky rumble. Suddenly lightening flashed and destroyed anything that was in its way. Rain drops the size of balloons dropped down. The poor little ladybug had no where to go, so s he hid under a mushroom to keep safe.
When she saw a grasshopper pass by, she immediately remembered that it was the one she met yesterday, so she yelled at him saying, “Help!! Help me!! I am the pretty ladybug from yesterday! Help!”
The grasshopper shot a glance at the ladybug, and kept moving forward without stopping. Soon he was out of sight. The lady bug was really angry, if he saw me then why didn’t he help me? The ladybug pondered.
Then she saw a monarch carrying a caterpillar fly by, she recognized them too. She yelled help, but the roar of the sky drowned her words. They passed by without noticing the ladybug.
The storm lasted for a whole day, the depressed ladybug sat under the mushroom crying like a baby. After the storm ended, the crying ladybug pulled her self together, and promised to herself that she would be nicer and friendlier.
The ladybug wanted to say sorry to the grasshopper, monarch, and the little caterpillar, yet she did not know how. So she decided to send each of them a small bouquet and a card, asking for forgiveness.
When the grasshopper, monarch, and caterpillar received the bouquet they were happy, and had forgiven the ladybug.
After that the grasshopper, monarch, caterpillar, and ladybug was best friends. And the ladybug was never mean to anyone else again, she had learned her lesson. If you want a friend, than be a friend.
