Cross Stitching

My grandmother did these cross stitching in China. Basically you had this grid, and you stitched crosses on them. When I went back during the summer, my grandmother taught me how to do it. It really is very simple, and you don't need a lot of skill to do it. Just a lot of patience, because there are a lot of grids.
So before I came back, my auntie in China bought me some purses that you make out of cross stitching on this Chinese E-bay. She bought me a lot. Starting from last week, I started working on them. I have been working really fast, and patience was never something I lacked. I love stitching, and doing stuff with my hands. Time totally flies when I do these stuff. I barely notice the time passing, its like I am totally concentrated on doing this one thing. When you use that level of concentration, you do stuff much faster than you think.
I am proud to say that, even though I didn't really work on it during the school days, after around 2 weeks, I am finally starting to see the finished purse. I am really close, I just need to personalize it a little, because I don't like that button design for the purse, so I am going to design another one and change it. I guess you can't call it a purse, because it isn't really a bag. I think it is more of a wallet, but those long kinds that you can open  in the middle.
Can't wait till its done, I probably won't use it when I am done. I don't want to get it dirty and stuff. But I noticed my auntie seemed to really like it, I might give it to her as a early present... for something. ^^
