O.T.

I had P.E. today and it was our first day of O.T. I would tell you what O.T. was if I knew, but I don't. I just can't remember that word, it starts like orient--- and I don't know the rest.
It was snowing this morning, and I knew I would be walking around outside (because O.T. is like learning how to use a compass, and find your way with a map and stuff. Like navigation.) so I brought an extra jacket. When class first started, we were under the impression that we weren't going outside today. But then after doing a quick explaining of the compass, Mr.Dykstra told us we would be going to find fire hydrants with maps.
Me and Tina were partners, and we were a great team. We half jogged, half ran the whole time, and it was tons of fun. We were the first to leave, and the first to get back. We were pretty fast. Tina didn't bring her jacket, and it was raining outside, so what I did was hide the paper under my jacket so it doesn't get wet. I read the map, Tina runs off the find the fire hydrant, she tells me the number, and I record it down. In the end we were so tired from all the jogging and running, too bad we weren't timed, because I would have loved to know how long it took us to do all that. I have a feeling I am going to really like O.T. I mean, we get to run off by ourselves, and explore the neighbourhood around us. Plus, I love navigating and reading maps, a habit that I picked up ever since I was small. I just hope that the weather gets better, I don't want to be out there reading maps in the snow or hard rain...
