My auntie thought that spring break started a week before the actual spring break. There is only 1 week of spring break normally, but this year there are two weeks. We were going to go to Hawaii to visit my cousin, but we probably will not be able to go because of some complications.
I always wanted to go to Hawaii, I heard it is very awesome there. It is really sunny and warm there, unlike Vancouver which has totally strong winds that go crazy. My cousin sent pictures that involved totally blue skies, and totally blue waters, and these beautiful beaches with golden sand!
Plus, my auntie really misses my cousin. My cousin went there for an exchange program, and she called me today. Can you believe the time in Hawaii was 2 hours earlier than ours? So, my cousin told me the Asian food in Honolulu sucked, and everything was expensive. She told me that she really missed the food here, and I totally know what she means. I miss my mom's cooking everyday. I think when you get used to someone's cooking (like eating it every single day for 14 years!), then you really get used to it like no other foods. I remember my dad used to always say how good my grandmother's cooking was, and I think he mentioned it was his favourite. I have never gotten why, because even though my grandmother's cooking is awesome, it never really got to me like my dad. But after my mom went back to China for Chinese New Year, I realized how much I loved my mom's cooking. I MISS my mom's cooking so much!!!
Now I'm hungry....
