Magic is dangerous--but love is more dangerous still.

When sixteen-year-old Tessa Gray crosses the ocean to find her brother, her destination is England, the time is the reign of Queen Victoria, and something terrifying is waiting for her in London's Downworld, where vampires, warlocks and other supernatural folk stalk the gaslit streets. Only the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the world of demons, keep order amidst the chaos.

Kidnapped by the mysterious Dark Sisters, members of a secret organization called The Pandemonium Club, Tessa soon learns that she herself is a Downworlder with a rare ability: the power to transform, at will, into another person. What's more, the Magister, the shadowy figure who runs the Club, will stop at nothing to claim Tessa's power for his own.

COMMENTS:
There are more to the description, but I just cut it short.
So tomorrow I have a Social Studies quiz on the map of Europe. I am studying right now. I went through all the countries when I realized that I didn't see England on the map. When I was doing the map of Europe, I had my suspicions about the country beside Ireland which is the United Kingdom. So I asked my cousin, "Is the United Kingdom England?" and she was like "Of course." Suddenly I got it. The UK is England. I can't believe I never knew that before, usually when I heard the UK, I thought it was some random country in Europe.
I chose this book to write about today, because as you can tell from above it happens in England. Cassandra Clare is a great author, and she also wrote the Mortal Instruments series. Clockwork Angel is an exciting book with a lot of stuff going on at the same time.
I have to admit, when I first started reading this book, I felt like it had the exact same story line as The Mortal Instruments. Of course, I was wrong. Reading Clockwork Angel brings you back in time, and especially if you read the Mortal Instruments series, you would find that you can learn more about the shadowhunter history and such.
I really like the main character Tessa, she reminded me a little of Clary (main character from Mortal Instruments), but I feel like she is more fragile and more like an outsider because of her downworlder blood. I have to mention the fact that I like Will better than Jem, maybe because he reminded me of Jace (main character from Mortal Instruments). Jace is my favourite character, and since he and Will are of the same family line, and both have complicated personalities, I just tend to enjoy reading about Will more.
I am currently waiting for the second book of the Infernal devices series which is the Clockwork Prince. I can't wait to read it, it is coming out the day after my birthday, and I hope I get it as a late present.

Speaking of Birthdays, one special boy is turning 4 tomorrow!!!
I just wanted to say an early Happy Birthday to my little brother Justin.
Love him so much!!! ^^
