Russian Soup

Tonight my cousin cooked red Russian soup. It is my favourite soup!!! I really love it, it was so tasty. Usually when my mom cooks it, it is the Chinese version of Russian red soup, which means there aren't any red cabbages, radishes, onions, or potatoes. Today my cousin went to the market and hunted down red versions of everything for the red soup!!! It was really red, I was really sad though because there was no sour cream at home to put into the soup. Russian red soup tastes the best with some sour cream and a little bit of ketchup.
We also cooked rice, so we put the soup onto the rice, it all blended and became a red mess. Yummy. It was so red that it appeared a little purple... My cousin also cooked Chinese soy sauce pork (I really don't know what you call it in English). The pork was dark brown-ish, and the rice and soup together was red.
Looking at the scene on the dinner table, I decided to call our soup-rice swamps, and the soy sauce pork as pollution. When we put the pork into the soup-rice, it made the soup-rice into ugly blended colours. ^^ Me and my cousin decided that this was a perfect interpretation of earth. Meat causes pollution (which is the pork), and pollutes the Earth (which is the soup and rice).
I know this sounds totally crazy, but it was really interesting to think of the world that way...
Yummy Russian red soup... I LOVE it so much...
  Drooling...
