Orientation

  I went to this orientation at Marpole Community Center with Mimi, Carina, and Jennica.
  We went last week right after our knitting field trip, it is an orientation for volunteering.
  I don't really see the point of this orientation, but I guess it helps you get to know others better.
  So first we played musical chairs, but not the normal version. In this version, we had to make sure everyone was sitting on at least part of the chair.
  Then we went back to this planning program thing... I don't think my group was very interested, and only a few people were contributing ideas. Also our group leader from last time was not here today, so there was a sub. And the guy didn't really know what we were doing last time.
  In the end we had to play a game where we competed to build straw towers using tape. Each person in the group had a role, and mine was "Leader" the first time. But it turns out you should not share your 'identity' with other so we mixed it up again. The second time I got "Talkative". I was supposed to talk a lot and disagree with our group leader and stuff, obviously I was not doing a very good job, because I kept giving him advices and stuff. Our tower collapsed in the end, sadly. I really like this game, it kinda tests your acting skills and annoyance level at the same time.
  Have to go move furniture now...
