For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.
But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.
COMMENTS:
I decided to write about this book to day, because I went to Metrotown for dinner today and took a stroll in Chapters. I love it there, I love book stores, you can always find something new there. So I was almost at the Teens section when I saw this book. I was called "Silence", and like all other Becca Fitzpatrick's books, it was black and white and grey with tiny bits of red.
"Silence" is the third book of the Hush Hush series. I was really surprised to see it, because I remember getting the second book "Crescendo" just this year around February. I guess the book must have came out earlier than I thought, because unless the author wrote everything beforehand, then she is a super fast writer.
After I got over the shock of seeing it, I started to remember my previous experience with this series. I have both the first and second book of this series because when I went back to China, my cousin would send me English books for my birthday. Hush Hush just happens to be one of the books she sent me. I really liked the book, and when I came back and saw Crescendo I just got it too.
Crescendo was not as good as the first book because I didn't really like the way the main character was acting. In the first book I could tell that Nora (main character) was a girl with a strong personality, but in the second book she was very weak and sometimes annoying.
Though Nora was not very interesting Patch the fallen angel is as gorgeous as ever. I don't know how he comes up with all these comments that totally either want to punch him in the face or double over in laughter.
I haven't read the book yet, so I am thinking of getting it from the library. Buying books are a waste of trees (yet I still like to buy them and put it on my book shelf).
P.S.
I hope I can go to the library soon, I am thinking of reading Lord of The Rings. I can't believe I haven't read it yet, I heard it is epic. So busy these days, just had a science test today, think I did okay. I have a textiles test and a English quiz coming up. We must be making up for the long weekend ^^. I still have the cold, I hope it goes away soon.
Speaking of colds, today when I was on the bus, everywhere I looked there was either someone sneezing or coughing. I bet half the people on the bus has a cold!!!
