So last Thursday, was the last day of school. Leslie made carrot cakes and banana breads and brought it to school so that we could sell it.
Mimi decided to sell it in apartments, so we decided to start at her apartment that day.
After getting our stuff, we first sold some carrot cakes and banana bread to some teachers at our school. We were so happy. YAY!
When we were walking to Mimi's house, I came up with this sales plan (after all, I am the Treasurer). We were selling a piece of carrot cake or a slice of banana bread for $0.75. So if the person bought 3 then we would give them a 10 cent off, which is $2 dollars for 3.
At first the plan didn't seem very good, but after we got to the apartments it was very popular. You'd be surprised who would buy three of our cakes instead of one just because it was 10 cents less. Or because they thought our bread and cakes looked delicious, which it was. Me and Mimi each bought 3 before we sold all of it. It was DeLiCiOUS. Leslie is a genius.
I have never actually sold stuff door to door before, it was an interesting experience. There were a lot of interesting people, and I actually thought some people were pretending to be sick so they wouldn't have to buy our stuff. Sad... They could have just told us. Mimi got really hyper after someone agreed to buy our stuff.
There were also really nice people who gave us money and didn't even take the cakes. They are awesome, best wishes to them.
We didn't even make it to the bottom of the building when we sold everything (we started from the top floor).
I can't wait to do this again, we made some handsome profits. This time only Leslie Mimi and me went, I hope next time our other group members can go to. It will be so fun!!!
